Parents as Teachers

Parents As Teachers is a free and voluntary parent support program for families with children from prenatal to kindergarten entry.  The program is designed to give all children the best possible start in life.  It is geared to help parents make the most of these crucial learning years, by being the child's first and most important teacher.  Parents As Teachers promotes parent involvement in language and intellectual growth, as well as motor and social skills.  Parents As Teachers is open to all families with children from prenatal to kindergarten entry in Greenbrier County, as long as there are available openings.  Personal home visits are offered in the homes of enrolled families.  Developmental Screenings are also offered.
